Custom Metalwork
21 years of certified industrial welding and fabrication as well as running my own custom welding operation for 12 years. I am used to working with one off complicated fabrication projects that may involve detailed blue prints. Metric or standard. Or it may need to be designed and engineered on the fly.
I have worked with inventors, creating test models of there fabricated metal products they want to patent. Helping people without welding knowlege to design there test product out of metal, Renewable energy laboratories stainless tig pipe welding, coors brewery ethanol plant.
Was lead welder/ fabricator for 2 complete from scratch aluminum Bridge Erection Boats (B.E.B) for the us army working with an Australian company (Birdon America Inc.) and Namjet. Working directly with the marine architect to create and design a full size boat jig to be replicated for production of 500 boats in a large factory. Modify final boat design details as needed to solve real world fabrication, welding access issues that can be over looked in 3d models. Test ,design and write weld procedures for the aluminum mig and tig welding certification program to A.W.S standards. Oversee and train new hire welder test procedures i designed. Train the other lead welders how to assemble/weld boats with a crew of 3 welders on the jig’s for production. Boat fabrication pictures are below in this gallery. I built this aluminum camper shell for my truck as pictured, MMA Fight cages i designed to bolt together and be shipped for a client, high end handrails and cable railing systems are my gift and curse as I have done many, bars, gates, fences, custom furniture, one off stainless cnc machined tig welded parts for pharmecutical company equipment. Ready to tig weld copper, aluminum stainless and much more. Architects, engineers and interior designers hire me to build all kinds of unique metal products for many applications.
I am a small operation and do detailed one on one work for my clients. Much of the detailed and highly skilled work is done by myself and sometimes some hired labor for simpler things i need help with. I even get help from my clients on occasion. I keep my overhead costs very low and can give very fair prices for my quality level of work and attention to detail on every project.
I hire out my time in “time slots” for jobs. First come first serve. Some well designed/ planned projects I can bid out and have a solid set price if you have blueprints or drawings and lots of clear details on what you want. Other unique design build jobs i work on an hourly “freelance” basis as the details are ever changing, unknown and can not be cost and or time estimated accurately for a total overall estimate or “bid”. Basically I can weld anything but a broken heart 🙂
